| Using 1x4's and butting them up together instead of leaving the gap in between like you would normally get with a pallet.
Well in the middle of all the indecisiveness the finish nailer quit working, we just barely got the frame put together but my husband managed to keep getting it to work again long enough to finish that part of it anyway. So the boards you see on the bed are not nailed on there they are just sitting up there, we had to do something so we could put our daughters mattress on it. So after all this & sanding pallets for no reason, I even had my 17yr. Old son out there helping me sand (cuz I didn't end up using them) sanding, priming, painting, light sanding, and painting again, 24- 1x4's, my husband says " I think you should of just went with plywood if you we're gonna do it like that" and my husband usually being the one with the better judgement talked me into it so another trip to Lowes, at least my husband was nice enough to buy me the premium birch plywood, the stuff that cost $50/sheet & we had to buy 2 of them, man this bed is getting expensive. So now I have been priming & painting the plywood & will hopefully be ready by the weekend to put this thing together before it costs us anymore money lol. The part for my husbands finish nailer came in today too so yay just in time for the weekend. I will keep everyone posted and post some pictures after it is all finished.

Pallet bed update
Ok, sorry I haven't posted in awhile but I have been steadily working on this bed that I am so desperately trying to get done, whew, it is no easy task let me tell ya lol. Anyway what started out as a pallet bed has now turned into a hand built platform bed. My husband had gotten some pallets for me from his work, the ones they buy to use for shipments so here I thought they were going to be good ones, ha was I wrong, they were not straight at all, the slats didn't line up, I just was not happy with that at all so I decided ok, I will just make my own pallets and then it turned into, ok I like this idea better
